Natural Gas Furnaces

Optimal Efficiency for Optimal Performance

Natural gas furnaces offer the very best in efficiency, comfort and reliability. They save you money by reducing your heating costs up to 70%, depending on the type of furnace you are used to using. Their efficiency also translates into being environmentally friendly, significantly cutting down on emissions as gas is a cleaner burning fuel than wood, oil or electricity coming from fossil fuels.

Which type of natural gas furnace is best for your home?

Before making a decision on the system most well-suited for your home, it’s best to be informed about the different types of natural gas furnaces as well as how each type determines factors like comfort, money savings and efficiency ratings. When you schedule a free in-home consultation with us, we’ll provide you with an in-depth assessment of your home that will help us find the perfect fit for your lifestyle and needs.

Single-Stage Furnaces

Single-stage furnaces have two settings: ON or OFF. When on, the valve opens and gas quickly flows into the unit to heat up your home. These heating systems are always assessing the temperature in your home. Once they sense that temperatures have dropped below a certain point, they turn on and heat up your home. When the home reaches the desired temperature, the system turns itself off.

This system is an affordable option, however, the least efficient offering 80% AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency).

K

Dual-Stage or Two-Stage Furnaces

Dual-stage furnaces, as their name suggests, have two different ON settings: high and low. At the low setting (half power) the system tends to run longer and heat your home with a more even and consistent distribution of heat.

This system is more expensive than single-stage furnaces, however, it is much more efficient offering 90-96% AFUE and runs more quietly.

K

Modulating or Variable Furnace

Modulating furnaces have an incredibly precise heat output, regulating and adjusting heat increases by the percent. This allows the system to adjust temperatures according to the home’s needs every minute with 1 percent increases where necessary. This makes for the highest efficiency available on the market today, perfect for homeowners residing in especially cold climates where winters are long, harsh, and therefore, expensive. Modulating furnaces operate incredibly quietly and efficiently, making them a smart investment for homeowners wishing to boost the value of their homes.

This top-of-the-line system is the best that money can buy and although pricey, it offers about 98.2% AFUE.
